Mushroom Barley Soup

Just the way somebody’s mother used to make it. Not mine, she wasn’t into soups as much as stuffed cabbage and gefilte fish. Still, this is an excellent soup.

We make it thick and hearty, but if you like it a little thinner just add some water. It’s totally pareve so feel free to serve it with fleischigs or dairy.
